1. 2D Coatings:

Surcotec use high-tech technologies for the metallisation of dials, needles, numbers as well as screws that needs simplified manipulation and that are highly reproductible.

Theses coatings have the following advantages:

• very resistant to the UV (no need of a "zapon" for protection reason, only for color modification).
• very resistants to the sulfuration (no need of a "zapon" for protection reason, only for color modification).
• remplacement of traditionnal electo-plating processes that are difficult to handle and who are in some cases not of sufficient quality level for novadays NIHS standards.
• highly reproductible, because theses coatings are based on optical technologies that are in-situ monitored.

2. 3D Coatings:

Others innovative technologies are used for 3D metallization such as bridges, decks, balances but also the whole watch case.

Theses coatings have almost the same advantages than the 2D:

• they have a much better scrath resistance and have been accepted by watch, pen or glass companies.
• very resistants to the sulfuration (no need of a "zapon" for protection reason, only for color modification).
• remplacement of traditionnal electo-plating processes that are difficult to handle and less dark as theses..
• highly reproductible, because specific machines have been developped for theses coatings..

Others special coatings, composed of precious metal and carbon, which are the results of year of research and that are patented, are also available. They allow some beautiful colors such as black gold, brown gold, blue gold, black platinium and are of at least 12 carats.

3. Optical Coatings

Surcotec offer a large range of optical coatings that can be applied on sapphire, organic glasses or plastic:

A. Hard Antireflection

This is a multilayer coatings, 1 or 2 sides, that could have a bleu or incolore aspect depending of the customer request. The production line has been optimised so that the nowadays high quality standards can be achieved.

The coating is controlled by in-situ optical spectrometer, that garantise a high quality..

 

B. Semi-transparent (20-80% of transparency)

Surcotec can also offer semi-transparent coating whose transparency can ba adapted in between 20 and 80% in order to provide different aspects.

 

C. Mirror

These are 100% reflective coatings, with grey or gold coloration, who allow a mirror-effect.
